The treatment process for traditional crowns involves two separate visits. At the first appointment, the tooth is prepped, and any damaged surfaces are removed. About two weeks later, your permanent crown is ready for placement. This appointment is relatively simple. After removing the temporary crown, the tooth is cleaned, and the permanent crown is cemented in place. Your bite is then assessed for a proper fit, and minor adjustments may be made.
